Welcome to our Pupil Voice and School Council page.
On here we will keep you up to date with all the fantastic things the children are doing to make our school a better place.
Our School Council members have a very important role within our school. They have many responsibilities and act as positive role models for other children.
Our teachers understand that we have a voice and want to contribute to our learning in school. During the Autumn term each class will have the opportunity to choose their own topic to learn about!
Earlier this half term, our school council recently met with Cheryl - a member of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council - and arranged for her to come into school to inform the rest of the children about travelling safely and healthily to school. The school council, along with Cheryl, organised a week where children were encouraged to travel to school in a healthy way (such as walking, riding their bike or car sharing with another family) to reduce the amount of traffic and congestion on the roads around school. This week was extremely successful and many pupils have continued to travel healthily to school as a result of this. The project will be continuing next half term.
Thank you to last years school council members. They arranged a lot of fund-raising events and helped to make our school a better place to be.
Below are the photos of some events they organised.
