COSTS TO PARENTS

Our school tries to keep all costs to parents as low as possible.

We will sometimes ask for a donation towards the cost of a school trip but we will not ask for the whole cost unless it is a residential trip i.e. PGL

Below you will find an example of some of the costs we might ask you for:

Item Cost Explanation
School Dinners £2.00

All infant children receive a free school meal through

the Universal Infant Free School Meal scheme.

Children on Benefit Free School Meals are entitled

to a Free School Meal

Breakfast Club 70p per day

School received a grant from Children in Need which

means we can keep our prices as low as possible.

There is no charge for children entitled to Benefit FSMs

Catholic School

Buildings

Fund

£6 per term

School gets charged £18 per pupil from Salford Diocese each year and this money is used to fund large scale building works.

We ask parents to contribute towards the cost of this so that the school can use the money saved to buy more equipment for the children to use in school.

School Trips

As part of our new curriculum we will be going on lots of school trips that will enrich your child's learning. School will be subsidising these trips in order to keep the cost to parents at a minimum. You will only be asked to contribute to no more than 2 trips a year.

After

school

Clubs

It is rarely that we ask you to pay for any after school clubs, although sometimes we use outside agencies i.e. Blackburn Rovers which we have to pay so we might ask you for a small fee to cover this tuition.
Non Uniform Days 20p per child At the end of each term we have a non-uniform day and ask all children to pay 20p which we then donate to CAFOD.

PGL Adventure

Weekend

Children in Years 4, 5 and 6 get the chance to attend a long weekend at Winmarleigh Hall during the Spring Bank Holidays. The cost of this is usually approx £125, including transport for the 3 days.
Infant Milk £4 per term All infant children receive milk each day, we ask all parents to contribute £4 a term (£12 for the year) towards this. Children entitled to FSMs do not need to pay.

Friday 21st July - End of Year Assembly 1.10pm, all welcome.
