Class 5

Our Rainbow of Hope

Hello Year 5,

Well done for keeping up with the LBQ tasks - only two more weeks left until the summer holidays!

As usual your new timetable is linked below with your LBQ tasks. However, this week is Arts Week so you have some additional activities on your timetable in the afternoon that are linked to art, music, drama and theatre. Have a go and keep yourself busy.

Missing you all, keep safe and see you soon.

Miss Ashcroft

We have an exciting year ahead of us, full of new experiences and lots of fun learning together!

All P.E. kit items should be named (a biro will do) and should stay in school throughout each half term, but may be taken home at weekends to be washed if needed. Our PE lessons are on Fridays with the PE coaches.

Reading books – Please bring your reading books into school every day. They will be changed once a week on a Friday.

If you have any questions regarding the curriculum your child is being taught, please contact school.

Have you seen the Kids’ Zone? Play games and visit some cool websites. You can vote for your favourites.

At Our Lady's we are always pleased to meet our parents, I will be available to talk to you any day before 8.45 and after school. If you would like me to ring you please leave a message at the school office.

Parents Guide to the National Curriculum

Last week, Year 5 went to Our Lady & St John's High School to take part in a science workshop. We went around three areas of sciences (biology, chemistry and physics) and took part in lots of experiments. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, as did the staff!

In English Year 5 retold the legend of the Sword and the Stone through drama, taking on the roles of Arthur, Sir Kay and Kay’s father.

This week, Year 5 have used their knowledge of Anglo-Saxon artefacts to create their own brooch out of clay.

Welcome to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Primary School!
