Year 5 2025-2026

As part of our PSHE lessons on keeping ourselves safe and looking after our health and wellbeing, we learnt about how we could keep ourselves and others safe in a medical emergency. We thought about what we would do if we came across someone who was unconscious but responsive. We practised the primary survey (DR ABC) and putting someone into the recovery position. The children were fantastic and although we had a few giggly 'casualties' everyone gave it a go and could successfully put someone into the recovery position.
We all know that in a true medical emergency we should seek help and call 999 as quickly as possible.

We have been developing our hockey skills in our PE lessons this half term!
