World Book Day!

What a fantastic day we all had celebrating World Book Day in school! The children and staff looked absolutely fantastic in their costumes! The day began with a whole school assembly, led by the Reading Ambassadors, followed by a number of different reading for pleasure activities in class: Drop Everything and Read time, library visits, book tasting, making bookmarks, reading buddies and much more! 

The Reading Ambassadors then gave every child in school a free World Book Day book of their own to keep and take home - how wonderful!

Monday 13th July: Year 3 visit to Roman Road library/ Uniform swap week /Tuesday 14th July: Year 6 Enterprise day/Wednesday 15th July: Year 6 visit to Roman Rd library/ Year 6 parent showcase 3.15pm -4.30pm. Thursday 16th July: Rocksteady parent showcase 9.30am - 10.30am (entry by ticket only) / Year 6 trip to Darwen leisure: Giant inflatable pool/ PTA summer fair 3.30pm - 5.00pm. Friday 17th July: Assembly at 9.10am/ Year 2 visit to Roman Road library/Reports out.
